The benefits of wooden windows and doors.

Wooden doors and windows have many positive characteristics compared to those of PVC. These qualities are the following:

Natural look

A plastic material (PVC or aluminum) will not be able give the window a natural aspect, like wood does. Wood creates a natural, intimate atmosphere and fits any architectural style.

Lifetime

Our wooden products are layerglued and spliced, which is necessary to avoid warpage. These technological steps makes the product to last for decades.

Durable and weatherproof

Wooden windows, if they are properly maintained surpass any expectations, they can withstand even extreme thermal and climate conditions.

Air and watertight

Wooden frames are equipped with modern drainage (drip) and air barrier system that prevents the infiltration of water and provide protection against the wind.

Quality finish

We use Milesi finishes, specifically designed for outdoor use (stains, varnishes), are environmentally friendly, water-based and highly resistant to moisture and sun exposure (UV radiation).

Flexible use

Products of any shape can be made out of wood, wich is not true about PVC profiles. In such cases when the facade of the building cannot be altered (monuments, historical building), the existing carvings of doors and windows should be kept, the use of wood is recommended. Wooden structures have wider production limits, than PVC products. For instance: the maximum size of a tilt-swing PVC window with two layers of glass is 150 × 150 cm. If there is used three layers of glass these dimensions are smaller than 130 x 150 cm, with the same features the maximum size for products made of wood is 150 × 180 cm.
